Well, there you have it. 4,559 km down of 40,000. The cycling part of this segment of the tour is done. Once I find a cord to transfer my GPS data onto my computer I’ll try to play around and make up a map.
For now, there’s more work to do.
We’re SO close to our goal of fundraising $3,500 for 350.org. Together we’ve raised $3,367 in donations ranging from $5 to $800. The deadline for donations is December first and we only need $133 more. If you have donated, thanks again for your contribution to the global climate movement and your support for this project. If you haven’t, 350.org is a great organization that is galvanizing global change on greenhouse gasses like no one else. Their website should be obvious and my fundraising page can be found at http://tinurl.com/360bybike.
If you haven’t read the recently published story on climate justice in West Oakland (written by my college classmate Molly Presson), you can do so here.
Watch out for more stories to be published here in the near future, especially surrounding the Paris climate conference (COP21). I’ll be in Hong Kong documenting climate-related events in the city, and will hopefully be sharing stories from other contributors from around the world!
Finally, 360bybike is now part of ArtCOP21, a global climate arts festival surrounding the Paris conference! Learn more at www.artcop21.com/
