Well, here it is. Today I begin fundraising for 350.org. I’ve decided to break the journey into phases, to better organize the story I tell and to make fundraising more manageable. More on that and my plan going forward will be coming soon.
My first phase will be bicycling across China with two good friends from PiA. We tentatively plan to bike from Shanghai to Gansu province over the summer of 2015, starting in July and ending in November or so. The exact start and finish may change before we decide to head out, but we will be going at least 2,500km across China.
Going along with this goal, I will be attempting to raise $2,500 for the organization 350.org. You can read more about my motivation and donate here: http://tinyurl.com/360bybike. Your dollars will go toward an organization that is galvanizing people to move away from an antiquated, destructive fossil fuel economy, and toward a renewable future. This is the organization that has sparked the climate movement, and every dollar counts.
