Both solar and wood seem to not see much use in comparison with biomass, both from the quick google search I did and from my personal experience. In more rural areas biomass (wood, leaves, peat, etc.) seems more common, I urban areas there is a mix. Here in China, coal is a common cooking fuel in cities as well. Refueling and transportation costs seem like the main obstacles to widespread use, as per the UN resource below.
